Is the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum a zoo or a garden?

The beautiful Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is in Tucson Mountain Park is part zoo, part garden. In enclosures along its looped desert path, mountain lions, jaguars, bighorn sheep, and other seldom-seen desert creatures reside in credible simulations of their natural habitats. Hawks and bald eagles fly within their own large aviary, and countless hummingbirds flit about in their own greenhouse. The museum also serves as an animal rescue center. Almost all the animals at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum were injured in some way before ending up there, and would be unable to survive on their own.
